How to join

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR NEW MEMBERS

We have received a number of bank transfers since last November with no reference information to tell us who the transfer is from. Unfortunately it costs the Association $50 each time we request a bank trace to identify the owner so we cannot afford to chase up money transferred to our bank account with no name attached.

If you have sent us a membership fee via bank deposit/transfer (or have sent us your membership form) and have not received a confirmation of your membership, please contact us ASAP at membership@hypoglycemia.asn.au so we can ensure your membership details are recorded properly and your fees are marked as paid.

Coming soon – the ability to pay membership fees online!

The cost of producing the Newsletter and to arrange public meetings of a high standard are entirely borne by the members and voluntary committee members. Doctors and guest speakers provide their free time to the Association, either by providing articles or giving lectures.

If you would like to join the Association and become a member please complete the Membership Application.

Existing members should complete the Membership Renewal instead.

After both your form and payment has been received we will contact you within a couple of weeks to confirm your membership and provide a receipt (either by mail or e-mail).

As we are a registered charity, membership and all donations of $2.00 or more are tax deductible in Australia.

Membership fees are:

  • Full Membership – $44.00 (includes a joining fee of $22.00)
  • Pensioners & Health Care Card Holders – $33.00 (includes a joining fee of $16.50)
  • Life Membership – $200 (note no joining fee)

Renewal fees are:

  • Full Membership 1 year – $22.00
  • Full Membership 3 year – $50.00
  • Pensioners & Health Care Card Holders 1 year – $16.50
  • Pensioners & Health Care Card Holders 3 year – $34.00
  • Life Membership – $200.00

Members will receive Newsletters for April, August and December by post or by email.

Members residing in Australia will receive the Newsletter by normal post, upon receipt of their application form, or by email if they so desire.

Overseas members will be sent newsletters by email only in the form of a pdf file readable with an Acrobat Reader. Upon receipt of your application form, you will be sent electronic Newsletters for one year to your email address.

Membership falls due on the 1 March of each year.
